I've on;y tried the curries and the toasted cheese sandwiches. Both were more than adaquate, The curries being particularly tasty. Great  selection of wines. Handsome barman needs a haircut. Two fantastic chefs and more than happy to accomodate any special requests. Food freshly perpared with quality ingredients, Prices very reasonable as well.

Welcoming and cosy

"I had heard of this place a month ago through a friend. I live in Reading so i thought it may be worth the train journey. And it was. As soon as entered the place i was greeted with a warm welcome. The atmosphere is so relaxing. I had coffee and lunch. Would definitely recommend the fish and chips dish as it is fresh, yummy and full portion! I couldn't get out of my seat afterwards as i was full!! I'm thinking of holding my B'day party here next month."

"More stirrings from the Thames riverbank.
Your correspondent sampled Boeuf Bourguignon at the DITTY Sports Cafe in Pangbourne today, a dish that brought the sight and smell of  true French cuisine to this smart commuter-belt fleshpot.
John Tuohy's new boutique gastropod rightly basked in long-awaited March sunshine as his top chef, Mo, finessed his personal take on this classic French peasant dish from Burgundy - warming up ahead of the Ditty's French evening later this month.

Excellent Service

The “Ditty” is a warm and welcoming venue in the heart of Pangbourne, a charming Thamesside village in Berkshire. The service is attentive without being overbearing, the food prepared by the accomplished chefs Michael and Mo, is of the highest quality and the drinks are sensibly priced. This is the place to go for coffee and cake while shopping, a good lunch after along walk by the river or in the middle of the working day, or a good dinner in pleasant surroundings.

One can even go “alfresco” and watch the world go by.
